If you’re looking for places to eat in Dundee, Taypark House is fast becoming one of the most popular spots in the city for a delicious breakfast, afternoon tea or dinner. Having been awarded a one AA rosette award in August 2023, you are certainly in for a culinary treat.
Award-winning chef, Glenn and his team are passionate about great food and believe in supporting local suppliers. They strive to use as much local produce as possible. All of our delicious home baking is made daily, fresh on site, by the team. On busy days we also use our original oak panelled billiard room. This space can also be hired out for private dining or events for up to 40 people, making it perfect for christenings, birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations or intimate weddings.
The original library and drawing room of Taypark House is the perfect home for our impressive restaurant. Each room enjoys uninterrupted views across the botanical gardens and the beautiful, shimmering River Tay. There's quirks to these rooms - like the hanging teapot lamps dangling from the ceiling, or the cluster chandelier with pretty, patterned lampshades draped from the central rose.

We’ve got a delicious menu of beautiful, fresh-made afternoon tea - bubbly is of course optional (but highly recommended). Tuck into our chef’s selection of savouries as well as our famous fresh-baked scones with clotted cream and jam - then make your way round a mouth-watering selection of pastries and desserts. As all of our afternoon teas are created to order, be sure to reserve yours 48 hours in advance.

The original dining room of Taypark House is home to our welcoming Gin Bar Lounge. It’s the perfect place to sit back, relax and admire the 150-year-old features of Taypark House. We even have the original advert for the sale of the land in 1859 scribed on the walls.
We're passionate about our huge range of Scottish gins, some of which are sourced only a stone’s throw away in St. Andrews and Fife. Each is perfectly complemented with a botanical tonic and garnish - embracing our Scottish heritage with a gin. If gin’s not your thing, we have a wide range of wines, fizz and spirits that'll tickle your fancy - or why not try our selection of Scottish craft beers and ciders? Or, how about something totally different? Ask us to mix up one of your favourite cocktails and we'll serve it in one of our famous 4.8 litre cookie jars. A perfect to end the week with friends or colleagues.
