Soak up the history
History buffs are spoilt for choice when visiting St Andrews. Explore the ruins of the magnificent medieval St Andrew’s Cathedral, once the largest church in Scotland. Climb St. Rule's Tower and you’ll get stunning views of the town and coastline.
Head to St Andrew’s Castle, overlooking the North Sea. For the best panoramic views, climb to the top of the tower or why not explore the underground mines and tunnels?

Looking for some tranquillity? Then a visit to St Andrews Botanic Garden is for you - home to a vast collection of plants from around the globe. Wander through the tranquil gardens, soak up the peaceful surroundings and explore the tropical and exotic plant collections – you’ll even find a miniature rainforest.
Get up close and personal with hundreds of marine creatures at St Andrew’s Aquarium. From penguins and sharks to meerkats and poisonous frogs, it’s a great day out.
